I had business on the West Coast, so we left our home at 4 am and flew coast to coast to end up in the wine country.

After asking the two young ladies at the front desk where to get lunch, we walked around the corner to the recommended restaurant and sat outside. One hour and 16 minutes later we were back in our room.

We went to the grocery store to grab a few things and returned to our hotel room for the night.

There was nothing suspicious about our travel or the hotel.

I woke up early, around 3 am PT, and looked at my emails.

Fraud alert from my Visa card company. I called the number and asked what was going on.

She said to me “Sir, did you use your Visa card at Safeway, Ross, Chevron, and In & Out Burger last night?”

“We went to Safeway around 5:30 pm. Other than that, no ma’am, I did not.”

She asked, “Do you have your Visa card?”

I said, “Sure, it is in my backpack hidden in a small zipper pocket.”
