Member-only story
My best friend asked me: “Why are you writing?”
First, I want to stay connected and relevant. Second, documenting my life story enables me to reflect consistently and change my future. Third, I have many experiences in my personal and professional life that could help others avoid disasters and help guide their lives with less stress.
“Blah, Blah,” said she. “Something is bothering you”.
Hell Yeah, something is bothering me. (how does she know that?)
I’m trying to “semi”-retired and it sucks. What does semi-retired even mean?
I have no “dimmer” switch to slide halfway. I never had one, and never will. I need to find a “hobby” I can commit to, that will make a difference in other’s lives and that is fulfilling.
IMO, I am a pretty good storyteller, so I’m trying it on. Yet, as a “boomer” I don’t know how to communicate with the Gen Xs, Millennials, and Gen Zs.
So, I committed to a course to teach me how to write/post daily. Not being a social media whiz kid, the start of the class was intimidating.
The host said we would be using the platform “X”.
I’m like…X?, X?, oh, the old Twitter. I’d never even opened Twitter or “X”.
